Yes geek fans this could have been the biggest f*&k up I would have made to date, or at least resently.
Last weekend I throught my jeans in the wash after a hard days grind (yeah right like I’m every going to be hard working) and what was in my jeans pocket, only my trusted 1GB USB key. Not realizing it was in the wash I wan’t botherd as I had put any file on it resently.
So i’s Saturday morning/afternoon and I go to get the wash from the toumble dryer and their is a rattling, nothing new there, I always leave change in my jeans, but to shock its my USB Key. First thougth was ‘Oh s%$T thats not good’.
So put the key in my pocket and head in to house, boot up rebellion (which for once is running well) plug the key, expecting it to tottally fcuked after the hot water and extream heat of the tumpledryer. But to my amase ment it works, cant read and write to it with no Loss of data.
So why with the amazement??? Simple, it to do with startic electricity and computer memory. With all that heat, water and movement that memory stick shoudl have been fried, but for some lucky reason it wasn’t.
And the winner is the USB Key.
